Eric Abram (He/Him) is a 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served as a highly trained Independent Duty Medical Technician. He provided comprehensive healthcare to servicemembers, addressing medical, dental, public health, and bioenvironmental needs at bases across the U.S. and in remote global locations. During his active duty, Eric earned a bachelor’s degree in health education from the University of Arizona, establishing a strong academic foundation for his subsequent career.
Now a Graduate Research Assistant at the UNLV School of Public Health, Eric is pursuing a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Health. As part of the Rainbows of Aging team, his work focuses on advancing research to improve the health and well-being of seniors from diverse backgrounds, including the LGBTQIA+ community. Eric recently made contributions to the Parkinson's Research with Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (PRIDE) study and the Stonewall Generations Study. His extensive experience in patient care, combined with his dedication to research, drives his commitment to serving marginalized communities.
